Load-bearing capacity and Weibull characteristics of inlay-retained fixed dental prosthesis: Effect of zirconia type, bonded substrate and aging.
Researchers compared the fracture resistance of four zirconia types used in inlay-retained bridges on tooth or composite substrates, with and without simulated aging. Zirconia type and substrate significantly affected strength, with some materials showing substrate-dependent performance while 3Y zirconia remained more stable.
