Estimation of the optimal thickness of sections for adipose tissue, salivary glands and skeletal muscle during intraoperative frozen sections.
Researchers tested frozen sections of three tissue types at different thicknesses to determine optimal quality for intraoperative examination. Adipose tissue performed best at 11 µm thickness, while salivary gland and muscle tissues showed better results at 5–7 µm.
