Effects of platelet lysate on the rate of orthodontic tooth movement: a single-center, split-mouth, randomized controlled trial.

The Angle orthodontist · Veeramani P, Pillai S, Krishnan P, Rajamuthu T, Selvarajan K · 2026-07-24

A split-mouth trial tested whether platelet lysate injections accelerated canine retraction during orthodontic treatment and measured related bone-remodelling markers in gingival fluid. No significant difference in tooth movement rate was found between treated and untreated sides, nor consistent changes in the measured markers.
