Oral Pain and Alzheimer’s Disease: Prospective Cohort and Cross-Sectional Analyses

Researchers followed over 490,000 UK Biobank participants and found that those reporting oral pain had a 31% higher risk of Alzheimer's disease over 14 years, with reduced cognitive performance and brain volume changes; risk decreased when oral pain resolved.
