Dental anxiety in cooperative preschool children during their first dental visit to the pediatric dentistry department: a cross-sectional study.
Researchers measured dental anxiety in 100 cooperative preschoolers (aged 4–6) on their first dental visit using self-reported scales and pulse rate. Girls showed higher heart rates than boys, though anxiety ratings were similar across ages and genders.
