Researchers compared nitrous oxide-oxygen sedation alone with sedation plus Indian instrumental music delivered via speakers or earphones in anxious children undergoing dental restorations. Earphone-delivered music showed statistically significant reductions in blood pressure and heart rate during treatment, with high patient acceptance, though most between-group differences were not significant.
