Barriers to quality oral health care among elderly (Geriatric) patients in Oyo State.

Researchers surveyed 500 elderly patients in Nigeria to identify obstacles to dental care. Financial difficulties, pain fear, and anxiety about dental instruments were major barriers, with only 8.6% having accessed dental care in the previous year despite significant unmet treatment needs.
