Ethnopharmacological study, evaluation of antimicrobial and free radical scavenging activities of extracts from plants used in the management of dental caries: a comparative study.
Researchers evaluated 14 medicinal plants traditionally used for dental caries management, testing their chemical composition, antioxidant capacity, and antibacterial activity. Vitellaria paradoxa and Euphorbia prostrata showed the strongest antimicrobial and antioxidant effects, respectively, suggesting these plants could be developed into anticariogenic agents.
