Comparison of emergence agitation between tracheal tube and laryngeal mask airway in pediatric ophthalmic surgery: a propensity-score matching analysis.

Researchers compared emergence agitation rates in children undergoing eye surgery using either a tracheal tube or laryngeal mask airway. The laryngeal mask airway group had significantly lower emergence agitation incidence, particularly when ketamine was used for induction.
