A Cross sectional Study to Assess the Prevalence of Periodontitis and its Association with Temporomandibular Joint Disorders among Pre and Postmenopausal Women.

Researchers compared oral health in 50 premenopausal and 50 postmenopausal women, finding periodontitis in 65% overall (84% of postmenopausal versus 46% of premenopausal women) and TMD symptoms in 68%, with 86% of those with periodontitis also having TMD.
