Researchers reviewed studies comparing tooth extraction with platelet-rich fibrin versus extraction alone in patients on medications causing bone loss or preventing new blood vessel formation. They found PRF was associated with lower medication-related jaw osteonecrosis risk and better healing, though evidence certainty was very low.
