Effect of a 45S5 bioactive glass-containing gel on the remineralization of artificial caries-like lesions in primary teeth: an in vitro study.
Researchers compared fluoride varnish and bioactive glass gels (in micro and nano forms) for remineralizing artificial cavities in primary teeth. Fluoride varnish produced significantly higher mineral density than both bioactive glass treatments, despite the gels showing more uniform surface coverage.
