Researchers observed 750 early childhood caries cases treated by 150 general dentists to compare treatment approaches. Less-experienced dentists favoured preventive therapies, whilst more-experienced dentists preferred extractions and crowns; younger children and milder cases received less invasive treatment than older children and severe cases.
