Researchers surveyed paediatric dental providers about parents refusing radiographic imaging and found that 9–23% report this as a significant problem, with refusal more common in private practices and among parents with lower Medicaid insurance rates. Providers noted parents refusing radiographs often also refuse fluoride and immunizations.
