Italian secondary students showed very limited knowledge about HPV and its link to oropharyngeal cancer (only 5% achieved adequate knowledge levels), though 61% expressed interest in HPV vaccination. Awareness of HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer was particularly low in boys despite their higher risk for this cancer.
