The use of teleorthodontics and artificial intelligence for orthodontic triage and screening in a publicly funded healthcare system: A crossover randomized controlled trial.

Researchers compared artificial intelligence-supported teleorthodontics with face-to-face screening for orthodontic triage in 178 public patients. Teleorthodontics was nearly three times faster and accurately accepted or rejected referrals for clear cases, but incorrectly rejected three cases and struggled to assess borderline malocclusions.
