Diagnostic Accuracy of Individual and Multimodal Pulp Sensibility Tests Compared With Radiographic Assessment for the Diagnosis of Pulpal Health: A Prospective Diagnostic Accuracy Study.
Researchers compared how well individual pulp sensibility tests and combinations of tests could identify vital versus necrotic teeth in cases with combined endodontic-periodontal lesions. Pulse oximetry alone performed best among individual tests, but combining tests using weighted logistic regression provided superior overall diagnostic accuracy.
