Risk of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea in preadolescent children with orthodontic anomalies: a diagnostic study.
Children aged 6–12 years with orthodontic problems were screened for obstructive sleep apnea using home sleep testing. Maxillary constriction, mandibular crowding, increased ANB angle, and mouth breathing were associated with higher apnea-hypopnea index scores.
A plain-English summary of the study's own findings — we don't add our own claims or interpretation. Read the full paper for the complete methods and results, and apply your own clinical judgement.
