Periodontitis and all-cause mortality in 60- and 66-year-old individuals: a 23-year prospective cohort study.

Researchers followed 340 Swedish adults aged 60–66 for 23 years and found that those with moderate-to-severe periodontitis at baseline had a significantly higher risk of death from any cause during follow-up.
