Diagnostic Accuracy of Inflammatory Biomarkers for Salivary Gland Tumours: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Researchers evaluated whether blood inflammatory markers (neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, systemic immune-inflammation index, and systemic inflammation response index) could distinguish benign from malignant salivary gland tumours. Across six studies, these markers showed moderate-to-excellent diagnostic accuracy, with the systemic immune-inflammation index and systemic inflammation response index performing best.
