Researchers examined how parental oral health knowledge, parenting approaches, stress, and socioeconomic factors relate to tooth decay in children aged 4–12. Higher parental oral health literacy, positive parenting practices, and older parental age were associated with fewer cavities in children, while lower family income was linked to more cavities.
