Partial radicular versus coronal pulpotomy using chitosan and platelet-rich fibrin in vital permanent molars with irreversible pulpitis, with or without associated apical periodontitis: A randomized controlled trial.
Researchers compared two pulpotomy techniques (coronal and partial radicular) combined with either chitosan or platelet-rich fibrin in young adults with irreversible pulpitis. All treatment groups showed pain reduction and radiographic healing at 12 months, with overall survival at 88.2%, with no significant differences between approaches.
