Changes in temporomandibular joint morphology, condylar position, and mandibular functional movement induced by orthodontic treatment in class ii malocclusion: a retrospective study based on CBCT and electronic articulator technology.
Orthodontic treatment of Class II malocclusion produced different adaptive changes in the temporomandibular joint depending on malocclusion subtype: Class II Division 1 showed structural stability with minimal functional changes, whilst Class II Division 2 exhibited more pronounced remodeling of condylar dimensions and joint spaces.
